A Summer Holiday … a last minute decision!

I had decided earlier in the year that this summer I was taking some time off from travelling. I wanted to save money for my next year of university and work as much as I could. However, a couple of days ago I caved. Surprise surprise.

I have so many plans for future destinations that I am dying to visit, so that means that I am always browsing flights and holiday deals online. I was doing so on Skyscanner (my absolute favourite flight comparison company) when I stumbled across return flights to Faro, Portugal for £40.00. Return. Yes, you heard right: £20.00 each way. That’s cheaper than me getting to university!

I leave on the 2nd of July for ten nights in total and I am beyond excited. After booking my flights I went straight to Hostelworld and based on reviews and price, booked a hostel that suits all of my needs. I love the freedom of travelling alone, and how it allows you to truly appreciate the culture. Whilst being in a hostel allows you to chat with fellow travellers. I am 100% a people-person, and if I can get the opportunity to talk to new people and learn about many cultures in a new and interesting country, you better know that I am taking it.

I’m looking forward for a total de-stress and relax after exams, to lay on the beach reading an endless amount of books with a cocktail in hand without a care in the world.
